This is an MC Sailing Association (MCSA) sanctioned event. It is open to skippers of MC scows who are current members of MCSA and 50 years of age on or before the first scheduled race.
All yachts must comply with the MC class rules prior to the preparatory signal of the first scheduled race. A boat may sail with a different sail number from its hull number if it registers with that sail number, and must compete with that number for the entire event.
Each skipper must declare his/her age and will compete in the associated division.

Rules |
The organizing authority (OA) for this regatta is the MC Sailing Association (MCSA) in cooperation with the Gull Lake Sailing School and Yacht Club (GLSS) and MC Fleet #104.
DUE TO COVID-19: RESTRICTIONS AND PRACTICES MAY BE PUT INTO EFFECT. THIS WILL BE DETERMINED CLOSER TO THE DATE OF THE COMPETITION AND WILL BE POSTED ON THIS SITE.
The races will be governed by the rules defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
- The racing area is Gull Lake.
- The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be published here, and be posted on the official notice board located at the club.
- Racing rules will be changed. The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions.
- Courses to be sailed are all windward leeward courses as shown in the Sailing Instructions.
- VHF Radio (72) will be used by the RC to communicate with competitors on the water. Additional instructions regarding radio communication will be included in the SI’s.
- Electronic Equipment: Use of electronic timekeeping is permitted. Digital compasses and/or devices, which offer functions not exceeding timing, heading and directional memory, which may include a user programmed reference heading are permitted. Any electronic device shall not provide wind information, boat speed, GPS-related information or compute correlation between time and bearing (such as used to ping the starting line).
- Competitors give absolute right and permission for video footage or photographs of themselves or their boat generated during an MCSA event to be published in any media authorized by MCSA for press, editorial or advertising purposes.
- Safety Suggestion: MCSA encourages but does not require the use of masthead flotation panels when conditions warrant their use.

Scoring & Awards |
The Low Point System of RRS Appendix A will apply.
When fewer than 7 races are completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. When 7 or more races are completed, a boat’s score will be the total of her scores excluding her worst score. This changes RRS A2.1.
Seven races are scheduled. Three completed races shall constitute a regatta for awarding Perpetual Trophies. Keeper awards will be awarded if at least one race has been completed. Awards will be based on her finishes in the overall fleet.

Registration closes at 9:00 am on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Boat Registration fee - $200 if you register on or before June 1, $220 afterwards.
Skipper Registration fee entitles each registrant to:
- Three Continental Breakfasts
- Three Lunches
- Thursday Apres Sail
- Friday Dinner, Beverages.
- Cool Regatta Shirt (Long Sleeve).
Additional Package of all Meals at $90 each:

Launching,
Mooring, Crew & Spectator Boats
|
Launching will be using the ramp at the GLSS/GLYC.
Trailer parking will be at a designated spot upon arrival at GLSS/GLYC.
Mooring is available in front of clubhouse. At your own risk, bring 15 ft. line, sand bottom.
Every effort will be made to provide ample boats for crews. Spectator/tender boats are welcome. Power boat launching at DNR ramp only. Spectator boats will be available depending upon Covid protocols.

Because of high season demand, MC Fleet 104 has made block reservations at four hotel/resort properties. These room blocks will expire if not reserved by MC Master sailors as of May 1st, 2022. Room type and pricing vary by property. When contacting the properties, refer to event: MCSA MC Masters Championship Regatta, host: Gull Lake Sailing School and Yacht Club, and name: Vincent Driessen. The four properties are:

There is limited tent camping or RV parking (no hook ups) on grounds. First come, first served. Onsite Covid Protocols will be posted.
GULL LAKE CAMPGROUND is within 5 miles of the club for additional RV and camping sites.
