Rules

The races will be governed by the rules defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). The Sailing Instructions will take precedence in case of conflict. This changes RRS 63.7.

Eligibility

This event is open to MC scows whose skippers have completed registration and paid the required fees by close of registration.

Saturday-Sep 21	800 - 1000	Boat Setup & Registration at boatyard Tiki Hut
	1000	Skippers meeting
	1100	First Gun of first race.
	1100	Starting Sequence: A sound box will provide horn blast for the 3 minute starting sequence Buoy races: Winward/Leeward Buoy Course with center line start and finish, Offset at upwind mark and gates at the leeward end. Number of revolutions will be posted on the Committed Boat Board. Distance Race: The Last race Saturday may be a distance race to Essex Harbor. Course Map will be provided in a handout at registration with the option of a North or South wind start and course. Racing Goal: 4 to 6 races, 5 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday morning if we have sufficient wind.

Sunday Sep 22		2 on Sunday morning if we have sufficient wind. Awards Ceremony at the Tiki Hut on Sunday morning follow the last race.

Registration

Boat registration is $50 . Pay at the event.
Additional Guest fee is $30

Après Sail with adult beverages and hors d’oeuvres after racing at the Tiki Hut or Clubhouse.

Cancellations accepted to Friday September 20.

Scoring

Scoring USSA Appendix A using the Low-Point scoring system. A minimum of one race constitutes a regatta. One throw-out if 6 races are completed.

Trophies

Trophies for overall 1st – 4th, with no additional categories for women, youth, master, grand master, etc. Presented at Tiki Hut Sunday Morning unless Sunday Races are cancelled, then presented at the dinner.
