Rules |
The races will be governed by the rules defined in The Racing Rules of
Sailing (RRS). The Sailing Instructions will take precedence in case of conflict. This changes RRS 63.7.

This event is open to MC scows whose skippers have completed registration and
paid the required fees by close of registration. Trophy age requirements must be met before the first scheduled race. |

Scoring |
The Low Point scoring system, rule A2, will apply. As many races as possible will be held in the allotted time. One race shall be completed to constitute a series. There will be a throw out if 6 or more races are completed. This changes rule A2. |
Trophies |
Trophies will be awarded as follows:
a) First through fifth places. b) Additional awards: Competitors outside of the top 5 are eligible for: Master, Grand Master, Mega Master, Woman

Registration |
Registration is $75 on or before Saturday, September 28 ($5 discount for MCSA Members).
Registration is $85 after September 28.
Pay by cash or check at registration desk onsite only.
Fee includes Skipper’s lunch, dinner on Saturday, lunch on Sunday.
Additional dinners for guests can be ordered when registering.
Extra Lunch is $ 5.00 each
Extra Dinner is $15.00 each.

Camping is available onsite at the club facilities. We have grounds for tent camping, a shower house, and several RV spots with 30A electric hookup for RV's or travel trailers under 30 feet.

Cowan Lake Sailing Association (CLSA) was established in 1954 by a group of
people with a common interest in promoting the sport of sailing.
Cowan Lake State Park - Cowan Lake near Wilmington, Ohio. Enjoy 700 acres
of beautiful, pristine, undeveloped Cowan Lake. A sailing and fishing lake with limited HP (no wake). Winds are up and the fall colors typically peak around regatta time with air and water temperatures in the 70s.
