The Fifth Annual MC Scow Green Island Cup Regatta, this one-day regatta helps MC sailors transition from summer to fall sailing. Overall winner will get their name engraved on the Green Island perpetual trophy.

- RULES
1.1 The event is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

3 COMMUNICATION
3.1 The official notice board is located on the first floor of the club and posted at https://theclubspot.com/regatta/GDS839maks/#notice-board
3.2 All boats shall carry a VHF radio capable of communicating on the RC channel stated in the sailing instructions.
4 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
4.1 All participants must be active members of the MC Sailing Association and boats must meet all class rules of the Association
4.2 Boats may enter the event by registering online at https://theclubspot.com/regatta/GDS839maks
4.3. The registration fee is $75.00. This Includes: light breakfast, Chili cook-off lunch Saturday.
6 SCHEDULE

7 VENUE
7.1 Racing will be on the Green Island Course, upper Barnegat Bay.
8 COURSES
8.1 Courses to be sailed will be windward/leeward.
9 SCORING
9.1 Low Point Scoring System in RRS Appendix A shall apply with amendment that no score will be excluded.
9.2 One race is required to be completed to constitute a regatta.
10 PENALTIES
10.1 Appendix V1 alters RRS 44.1
11 RISK STATEMENT
11.1 RRS 3 states: ‘The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue to race is hers alone.’ By participating in this event each competitor agrees and acknowledges that sailing is a potentially dangerous activity with inherent risks. These risks include strong winds and rough seas, sudden changes in weather, failure of equipment, boat handling errors, poor seamanship by other boats, loss of balance on an unstable platform and fatigue resulting in increased risk of injury.
12 INSURANCE
12.1 Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance. The Organizing Authority does not accept any responsibility for verifying a boat is covered by third-party liability insurance.
13 PRIZES
13.1 Prizes will be awarded to the first five overall boats.

Spectators:
Spectators are welcome on the Shore Acres Yacht Club grounds. We have ample patio and deck seating facing the prospective sailing venue. Spectators are also encouraged to bring their own spectator boats. Shore Acres Yacht Club has a large beach, a small ramp, and a one-ton hoist for launching and abundant bulkhead space for pre- and post-race docking. Additional ramp launching options and a gas dock are available for purchase through our neighborhood marina Drum Point Marina.
